JOE PECK,
THAT’S THE WAY I REMEMBER IT
SATURDAY,
DECEMBER 1 at 9pm
Baritone/Tenor
vocalist Joe Peck has appeared on stage in productions at The Kennedy Center,
Ford’s Theatre, Open Circle Theatre, Theatre Lab, Signature Theatre, Olney
Theatre, and The Washington Savoyards, among others. Joe works on camera in
commercials, industrials and independent films, and he performs regularly in
voiceovers as a narrator as well as providing character voices. After college,
he pursued a successful career in government and government affairs before
returning to the stage and performing full-time in the last several years. It
is this breadth of experience - on and off the stage - that uniquely informs
his performances. Joe has appeared in cabaret performances at DC venues as
diverse as Mimi's American Bistro, Mr. Henry's Capitol Hill, Maggie's Cabaret
at St. Margaret's, and the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. His vocal training
includes work at MTSU and with Wayne Kemp Vocal Studios. You can find him
online at www.joepeck.net.
Joe Peck
says: DCCN Members Joe Peck and Alex Tang will reprise the popular show
"That's the Way I Remember It" on December 1 as part of the Indigo
Cabaret Series at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. This show is an incredibly
fun time-warp of memories and melodies so funny it'll make you cry and so
heartwarming it'll make you laugh. You will not want to miss a chance to hear
such an eclectic collection of favorites -- standards, pop, R&B, folk,
jazz, musical theatre, and - yes - a little country to boot. With this show
there's a surprise around every corner. Info at

POLICY
REGARDING SUMBISSION OF NOTICES
The DC
Cabaret Network's bi-monthly newsletter moved to a once-a-month schedule in
May. The newsletter will be sent out on the 1st of each month. The
deadline for all submissions will be the 25th of the prior month - no
exceptions. If you miss the deadline, your entry will have to wait until
the following month for inclusion. Thanks to all of you for your support and
understanding. Please send your info to DCCabaretNetwork@hotmail.com
The DC
Cabaret Network is a small organization run on a 100% volunteer basis. We
do the best we can with the resources and information we have. It is our policy
to include, to the best of our ability, all cabaret related notices of our paid
up members. Submission, however, does not guarantee inclusion in the
newsletter. Although we always do the best we can to include the
cabaret-related notices of paid-up members, realities such as mis-delivered email or the timing of submissions may affect
what gets published in a particular edition. Your music-related submissions
must be made to:
dccabaretnetwork@hotmail.com
We reserve
the right to edit, and determine the inclusion of, all submissions. It is the
responsibility of the person submitting the information to proof read the
submission for spelling and correct logistical information.
We will
continue to list, free of charge, upcoming events by out-of-town performers.
The
newsletter update goes out the first of each month, with submissions due by the
25th of the previous month. Please send your submissions (to dccabaretnetwork@hotmail.com)
Inclusion
in the newsletter does not signify a recommendation or endorsement
by the
Network. We do not post events previous to the date of the newsletter.
We do not
post notices for events we know to be sold out. If you have any questions about
our listing policy, please contact us at dccabaretnetwork@hotmail.com or
through our website www.dccabaretnetwork.org
POLICY
REGARDING EDITS TO SUBMISSIONS PUBLISHED IN MULTIPLE EDITIONS OF NEWSLETTER
We gladly
publish notices of paid up members in multiple editions of the newsletter. If
you have a notice published in the newsletter, and the date of the event will
carry the notice into subsequent editions of the newsletter, check your
information frequently and verify it is correct.
We
understand that sometimes plans and arrangements change. If you have a notice
currently published in the newsletter, but need to update or change the
information, re-submit your notice IN FULL (exactly as you’d like it to appear
in the newsletter), including the changes, to
dccabaretnetwork@hotmail.com. In a separate paragraph, specifically point
out the changes that you made. We will cut/paste your updated notice into
the newsletter, calling attention to the changes made. If you have a notice
published in the newsletter, and the date of the event will carry the notice
into subsequent editions of the newsletter, and we do not receive a
new/complete submission (as stated above) with changes specifically pointed
out, your notice will appear exactly as before.
